Ben Affleck is opening up about his wife Jennifer Lopez’s intense fame and the public thinking he has “resting b**ch face.”
In a new episode of Kevin Hart’s Peacock show Hart to Heart, the Oscar winner chatted with the comedian about his life and love.
Although he didn’t talk about any rumors or problems in his marriage to Lopez, he did express amazement at how much her fans adore her.
“She’s incredibly famous, and people love her. She means a lot to them,” Affleck told Hart. “When people see me, they might say, ‘Hey, I like your movie.’ But when they see her, they go crazy, yelling ‘AAAHHHH! J.Lo!'” he said. “It’s incredible.”

Affleck shared a story about an outing with Lopez and their five kids—his children Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, from his marriage to Jennifer Garner, and Lopez’s twins Max and Emme, 16, from her marriage to Marc Anthony.
The family was heading to a play in New York, and Times Square was packed with traffic.
“We were going to a play, and I said, ‘Forget it, babe, we’re going to be late, let’s walk a block and a half.’ She agreed without complaint,” Affleck said.
However, they didn’t anticipate the excitement that Lopez would cause by walking in public with her kids.
“So we get out with her and the kids, walk through Times Square, and it was crazy. I was shocked,” Affleck recalled. “There was a woman, smoking weed, in a full purple skintight suit, running backwards and filming, shouting ‘J.Lo!'”
“That got everyone else’s attention, and soon all the tourists joined in,” he continued. “So there we were with our five kids, me and Jen, surrounded by what felt like hundreds of people, all screaming.”

For Affleck, their fame is a double-edged sword, especially when it comes to their families and being parents.
“Every day, I want to make sure I’m doing the right thing for my kids, making their lives better,” Affleck said. He admitted that sometimes his kids deal with “bulls**t” in their lives because of his public status.
“It breaks my heart when I think, ‘This wouldn’t happen if I wasn’t famous,'” Affleck admitted. “It’s hard, and I really question it a lot.”
“But I also know that their life now is better than the one I had,” he added. “Jennifer and I talk about that a lot when we compare our kids’ lives to our own.”
Affleck generally seems less comfortable with living in the public eye than many celebrities, which often shows in his grumpy or unhappy facial expressions in paparazzi photos.

“I’m a bit shy and don’t like a lot of attention. That’s why people see me and think, ‘Why does he always look mad?'” Affleck explained. “It’s because someone has a camera in my face, and I’m like, ‘Here we go again.'”
“You have resting b**ch face,” Hart joked with a laugh.
“‘B**ch?’ No, I have resting hard face,” Affleck replied, also laughing. “People are projecting onto me something I don’t feel at all.”

Shortly before the new Hart to Heart episode aired, TMZ shared photos and videos of Jennifer Lopez, 54, at a hotel in Positano, Italy, apparently vacationing alone.
This trip comes amid months of rumors about trouble between Lopez and Affleck, 49. The couple, who married in Las Vegas in July 2022, have shown a united front recently, despite divorce rumors.
In late May, a source told ET that Affleck and Lopez were aware of their issues and were trying hard to save their marriage. “Ben and Jen don’t want to get divorced,” the source said, adding that their relationship isn’t working well right now, but they still love each other and are trying to fix things.
A few weeks later, another source told ET that while they hadn’t given up on their love story, they were living apart and mostly independent. Despite the rumors, Affleck and Lopez have been seen together, often wearing their wedding rings. Recently, Lopez surprised fans by wishing Affleck a happy Father’s Day on her Instagram Story.
